Some Facts about Our Super Poly Pipe:

We have dozens of customer installations dating all the way back as far as 14 years that prove the superiority of our black poly pipe.

1) We NEVER get "call backs" when we install black HDPE poly pipe, however the most common reason for service calls related to white PVC pipe was always freeze damage, then, some years later, the coupling joints start to fail.
Every 20 feet there are couplings in PVC pipe strings that will be future weak points or "failure points". Even the sch. 80 threaded version has threaded couplings every 20 feet which are weak points.
We do use small amounts of white PVC pipe inside pump sheds and such where there are lot's of fittings (angles, couplers, tees, etc.) as these are quite expensive fittings in poly.

2) The oil drilling industry converted over to HDPE black poly pipe for water delivery years ago and never looked back.
So did the city of Lago Vista - - - and many, many more.

3) There has been a "rash" of bad PVC pipe on the market going around lately. You don't know whether you are getting it or not till 3 or 4 years down the road it starts to crumble.

4) White PVC pipe has no ultraviolet inhibitors in the resin. Black HDPE poly has intensive UV inhibitors in the resin.

5) The Biden administration announced it wants to ban PVC pipe (all PVC as a plastic) since it is a TOXIC plastic. The chemicals used to plasticize or make somewhat flexible the PVC pipe are known endocrine disruptors, they wreak havoc with human hormone systems, suspected of causing cancer and other diseases.
Polyethylene which is the same as HDPE, is used for milk cartons, it is a "clean" plastic.

6) Ask any of my competitors to give you a lifetime guarantee on their white PVC pipe, they won't do it.

7) Over $57,000 of destroyed, FROZEN white PVC piping was replaced on the lakes in 2023-2024. The guys who install PVC pipe will love you, and love your pocketbook even more as they have to replace it every hard freeze. You see it does not crack in just a few spots, it typically cracks lengthwise in a hard freeze, in hundreds of spots. We replaced a lot of it which froze right through insulation.

8) If you haven't already - - - - check out the video on our homepage of how tough poly pipe is versus PVC pipe. They drive over poly pipe multiple times on the beach, in the oil patch, etc. One drive over your white PVC pipe at the beach will crack it.

9) As for flexibility, as little as six to seven feet diameter of 2 inch poly pipe will bend in a 180 degree radius - - - You need like 40 feet or more of sch. 80 white PVC pipe to come even close to that 180 degree radius.

10) If ever a repair was needed on HDPE poly pipe out in the lake - - at depth, we can accomplish this with our special couplings which do not require pulling the entire pipe string out of the lake which is very expensive (required with white PVC pipe). This is because PVC pipe has to be glued (solvent welded) in air where it is dry. Threaded sch. 80 PVC pipe typically breaks at the threaded couplings, so it also has to be glued.
